Volume 7, Issue #38 - September 21, 2017

In the name of Christ, we embrace all people to be nourished and empowered by the Holy Spirit to love and serve the world.
THIS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, ASCENSION WELCOMES BISHOP BRUCE CALDWELL, who will preach and celebrate at both the 8:00 and 10:30 services. Bishop Caldwell will also join us for breakfast, and be available for conversation at the Preacher’s Forum and Coffee Hour. On the occasion of the Bishop’s visit, today’s undesignated plate offering will benefit the Bishop’s Discretionary Fund.
Also on Sunday, September 24, we will welcome Quinton Reese Hosley into our faith community by Baptism; he is the son of Lukas Myers Hosley and Suzanne Catherine Hosley. And, we give thanks for this special day in the lives of Katherine Mueller and Scott & Kathy Kimbel, who will be Received, and Jennifer Lee and Lacy Wallace, who will be Confirmed.

Parish members and guests are cordially invited to a special Coffee Hour reception, hosted by our young adults (CAYA) in honor of Bishop Caldwell and our newest members.
and pray for the individuals and families affected. This is just the beginning of a long recovery — and our brothers and sisters in need are counting on us.
