Volume 9, Issue #29 - July 25, 2019

In the name of Christ, we embrace all people to be nourished and empowered by the Holy Spirit to love and serve the world.
Have you heard the news? Our search is over!
begins September 3.
The Preservation Trust was established in 1997 to provide for the perpetual care of Ascension's historic site and buildings. This week, the Preservation Trust provided $5,296.89 to pay the final bills for the repairs to the pipe organ and the installation of new light fixtures in the sanctuary.

The Vestry thanks the Preservation Trust for its financial assistance with these two projects. Please contact Bob Bullock, Rose Gayle Hardy, William Legg or Milly Stewart for more information about the Trust.
This series of summer recitals will feature one of our own on
Friday, August 16, at 7:00 p.m.
It is a benefit performance for Simon House, so... y’all come!

Ascension’s John Martin, organist, and Amy Britton, local violinist,
will perform a concert of violin pieces by Bach, Bartok, Haesche, & Kreisler, as well as
organ compositions of Bach, Karg-Elert and Vierne.

A tower fan that was loaned to the church for the June 30 Evensong has disappeared. If you picked up a loaned fan, are you sure you retrieved the right one? Please check the bottom of the fan to see if it is tagged with the name Judith Spencer (she borrowed it from a friend, so let's find it!). If you do have it, please return it to the church at your earliest convenience. Thank you!
