Vicar Aaron's Message

A beggar with broken feet is healed after Peter, John and the beggar “look at” each other. How do these glances heal? The passage is a reminder of the healing power of being seen, recognized, and known.

God of healing, you see us and know us so deeply -- you knit each of us together, after all. Grant us healing from the fountain of resurrection life, in Jesus’s name. Amen.

Are there solar eclipses in the Bible?

PLEASE NOTE: Pastor Trudy will be on vacation Friday, April 5 through Monday, April 15. Please contact Vicar Aaron with any pastoral emergencies.

Thanks to the alert GLC’ers who noted that the emails some of you are receiving from ‘Rev Trudy Stoffel’ are not actually from her email address. 

Unfortunately there is not much that can be done except to remember that Pastor Trudy will NEVER ask for things like gift cards or account numbers. She will always make her ‘ask’ very clear in both the subject line and the body of the email. If you’re still uncertain, a call to Pastor Trudy or the office should clear it up quickly. Thanks for your understanding.

• Move the leaders of wealthy nations to provide health and humanitarian aid wherever it is needed and commit them to addressing the international inequities that cause these health crises in the first place.
• Strengthen all who are experiencing challenges to their health and wellbeing and all who provide care to them, especially Tom Noble and Marv Abramson.

The High School Youth are preparing a meal for Lazarus house this Sunday, April 14. If you have signed up to contribute ingredients, please bring them to church no later than this Friday the 12th by 2PM. Contact Lisa Kanzler with any questions.
