Vicar Aaron's Message

“You will be my witnesses…” (Acts 1:8)

Jesus ascends in our scripture this week, leaving the disciples with a task: be Christ’s witnesses to the ends of the earth. We bear witness to Christ by living in Christ’s example, and by telling the miraculous good news: He Is Risen! Alleluia!

Living God, we praise you for miraculous good news. Help us to serve as your hands and feet in the world. Amen.

What is “Ascension”?

PLEASE NOTE: Pastor Trudy will be on vacation Friday, April 5 through Monday, April 15. Please contact Vicar Aaron with any pastoral emergencies.

• Make us partners with the natural world, ever aware of our interdependence and committed to our mutual flourishing.
• Soften the hearts and minds of those who govern through fear and oppression and open them to partnerships with other nations for the benefit of all.
• Be with those in our families, our lives, and community who suffer illness, trauma, grief, and all forms of pain and loss. Help us to bear your healing love to them.

A HUGE thank you to all who volunteered as readers, communion assistants, in vocal or bell choirs, in the kitchen making a meal for Holy Trinity in Elgin, AND for the folks who dropped off treats for the staff. Most of all, thank you for showing up and deepening your faith through the Holy Week services. So many signs of generosity! With gratitude, Pastor Trudy, Vicar Aaron, Amy, Debbie, Faith, Michelle, and Kathie

It was a nice surprise to be the reciever of a container last evening, along with some cookies and bread! Circumstances have not allowed me to take part this year and get to meet even more of you friendly people. God has been good to all of us. Bless you all. Peace and Love, Donna McKee
