Vicar Sharai's Message
This Sunday, we celebrate Pentecost! We’ll hear the story of how the Holy Spirit descended like the rush of a violent wind and appeared as tongues of fire. We’ll also hear some of Paul’s letter to the church in Rome, where he makes clear that the Holy Spirit was not just for that one moment, but that the Holy Spirit moves in and around us everyday. As we journey through life as children of God, there are moments when we experience or witness great and terrible pain and there are moments filled with joy. Paul reminds us that the Love of God is with us, as a mighty wind or gentle breeze, in every one of those moments.
Holy Spirit, You wrap us in Your steadfast presence and unending love. May we become more and more aware of Your presence with us, in our joys and in our sorrows. Amen.
