Pastor Trudy's Message
On being anointed. In our Scripture, David is anointed as King over Israel and Judah. But this isn't his first anointing, nor his last. What an interesting thing to ponder as adults and youth affirm the promises of baptism. We also are not anointed a single time, but over and over in our lives of faith. Sometimes it happens in a formal church celebration like baptism or confirmation. But it can also happen at a time of loss or breakthrough...often with tears.
Good and gracious God, You anoint us with Your love and blessings...and then again. And again. Help us to live out of this blessedness in our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.
