Good morning everyone, I hope you are doing well. I am here to give you the weekly update on the Holocaust Survivor Program's enliveo (VSC).
This afternoon at 4pm, we will have a brand new program called Eurovision Junior Song Contest Viewing Party with Karen and Alex. Join Alex, Karen, and your VSC friends, as we watch an international cast of talented young performers sing and dance their hearts out in Europe's most thrilling song competition.
On Monday, November 17th at 2pm, we will have a brand new program called Open Chat, Circle of Friendship with Karen. Join Karen and your VSC friends for a fun and guided open chat. Every person has a fantastic life story that needs to be told. In this series of classes, we look at the memories of our lives. This week's question is: What Advice Would You Give Your Younger Self?
On Monday, November 17th at 3pm, we will have a brand new program called Stretch and Serenity with Shakeera. This gentle chair yoga class is designed for those seeking to improve flexibility, balance, and strength—all from the comfort and safety of a chair. Led by a certified instructor, Shakeera's program incorporates seated poses, breathwork, and relaxation techniques to enhance physical and mental well-being. No prior yoga experience is needed. All levels and abilities are welcome! If you would like, you can bring a few cans for resistance.
On Monday, November 17th at 7pm, we will have our NY Art Scene with Jess. Join Jess and your VSC friends as you explore the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art.
On Tuesday, November 18th at 1pm, we will have our Classical Music Stars program with Fran. Join Fran and your VSC friends as you learn more about Kathleen Battle.
On Wednesday, November 19th at 1:30pm, we will have a Mindful Breathing program with Chaplain Betsy.
On Wednesday, November 19th at 2pm, we will have our Critically Acclaimed TV and Cinema program with Jess. Join Jess and your VSC friends as you continue to watch Grace and Frankie.
As we are all aware, Israel is in a very difficult situation which is changing daily. This Wednesday at 3pm, Hanan Simhon will be facilitating a virtual class for survivors regarding the ongoing situation in Israel. This class will recur for the next several weeks, as the situation unfolds. The focus of the group will be to provide you with updates and information, as well as to offer you a safe space for support.
On Thursday, November 20th at 4pm, we will have a brand-new program called Travel Through Music with Beth. Join Beth and your VSC friends as you learn more about Stevie Wonder.
