eviCore healthcare - prior authorization for pain management - no prior authorization required until 8/23/2017
Plans Affected:   Mercy Care Plan, Mercy Care Plan Long Term Care and Mercy Care Advantage
As you are aware, Mercy Care has partnered with eviCore healthcare effective August 1, 2017 to administer prior authorization for pain management for both Mercy Care Plan and Mercy Care Advantage.  Please refer to our original notification, eviCore healthcare prior authorization for pain management update, that contains all detail regarding this change. 

To help prevent unintended disruption to patient care during the transition, we will not require a prior authorization for pain management services for dates of service August 1, 2017 - August 22, 2017.
As a reminder, please click on the link for a listing of Pain Management CPT Codes that require prior authorization from eviCore healthcare.
