fACTs: A Newsletter for
Affordable Housing Developers
The fACTs newsletter periodically provides information and resources to help Texas developers improve and enhance their programs. Originally targeted to developers participating in TSAHC's ACT program, we recently expanded the audience to include all developers in our network.
Affordable Housing Partnership Program and Predevelopment Loans Available
For those not yet in the know, TSAHC is currently administering two pilot programs through our Texas Housing Impact Fund (THIF) intended to create affordable housing units in targeted geographical areas around Texas.

The Affordable Housing Partnership (AHP) program is a collaboration between TSAHC and the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) that provides zero interest forgivable loans to build or rehabilitate affordable, accessible, and integrated housing in Dallas and Travis counties. The housing created through this program will be reserved for individuals with disabilities that receive, or are eligible to receive, Medicaid Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS). If you are interested in learning more about the AHP program and its guidelines, please click here.
Additionally, TSAHC is currently offering predevelopment financing for early-stage affordable housing projects located in Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, Hays, and Caldwell counties. This program offers loans ranging from $25,000-$100,000 based on the applicant's demonstrated need. To learn more about these predevelopment loans, please click here.

Yet, as the rest of society hunkered down at home, many housing advocates jumped into action, creatively weighing housing options so that those without homes have shelter too.
