A Newsletter for Local Partners
The fACTs newsletter is for TSAHC's local partners in the Affordable Communities of Texas (ACT) program that provides information to help make your organizations successful.
ACT Spotlight:
Crockett Estates  in Alamo, Texas
In this newsletter, we are spotlighting Crockett Estates in Alamo, Texas developed by Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. (AHSTI) and made possible through our Affordable Communities of Texas (ACT) program and the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).

Crockett Estates (see flyer) is a subdivision in Alamo, Texas that features single-family homes in close proximity to major highways, a high-performing school and employ ment centers in Weslaco and McAllen. AHSTI is developing single-family homes in the subdivision that are affordable for households earning up to 80% of the Area Median Income.

Prices start at $79,100 for a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house. The homes are on lots that TSAHC acquired through NSP, a program created to stabilize communities dealing with high rates of foreclosure. TSAHC purchased the lots at a reduced price, partnered with AHSTI through the ACT program, and collectively we pass on savings to home buyers.

To date, AHSTI has sold three homes (like the one pictured right) in Crockett Estates, and more are either for sale or under construction.
