December 2021
The SBCTA Board of Directors adopted the 2021 update to the Measure I 10-Year Delivery Plan at the December 1 Board of Directors meeting. The Board originally adopted the first Measure I 2010-2040 10-Year Delivery Plan in January 2012. The Delivery Plan provides a list of projects to be developed during a ten-year period and identifies project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Another major milestone was realized on Thursday, December 2nd, as the first Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU), slated for service on the Arrow corridor between San Bernardino and Redlands, was delivered to the Arrow Maintenance Facility in San Bernardino. This new train is the first of three that will serve as the initial fleet for the upcoming service scheduled to begin in the summer of 2022. Over the coming days, the new train will see its final assembly in preparation for an extensive testing period to ensure that Metrolink can continue to offer the public a safe and reliable transit option.
Part of the agency’s mission to improve transportation and offer transportation choices is providing the public an opportunity to hear about the construction efforts underway. Our goal is to help people make choices about their lives. Whether it be commuting to work, driving the kids to school, or just running around town, knowing what is going on along your route is critical to how you manage the drive.
San Bernardino Regional Energy Partnership (SBREP) is back this year with the Holiday LED Light Exchange and Complimentary Energy Efficiency Starter Kits. This year, you can schedule your exchange during the dates of December 1st through December 17th, from Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the City of Rialto Public Works Department.
