On Thursday, October 12, SBCTA in partnership with Omnitrans, marked the start of construction on the West Valley Connector (WVC) Project with a groundbreaking ceremony in the City of Ontario. The momentous event took place along what will soon be a 19-mile, 100% zero-emission Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route traversing the cities of Pomona, Montclair, Ontario, and Rancho Cucamonga.

The San Bernardino Council of Governments (SBCOG) is leading a Smart County Master Plan (SCMP) that will provide a roadmap for improving the region’s communications and technology infrastructure to better serve the county’s growing technology needs. The regional approach is meant to share information and break down silos in an effort to serve residents in all sub-regions and jurisdictions.

SBCTA, in cooperation with the City of Barstow and Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad, is leading the construction effort to replace the existing North First Avenue Bridge. The bridge has served as a critical lifeline for the City of Barstow and the surrounding community and serves as the main thoroughfare to essential services such as schools and hospitals as well as Fort Irwin.

The Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) marked its 30th anniversary with a ceremony underlining the organization's three-decade commitment to serving the High Desert community. The celebration took place at VVTA's headquarters in Hesperia last month. 

Due to maintenance and rehabilitation projects on Saturday and Sunday, November 11-12, San Bernardino Line service will not operate between Montclair and San Bernardino-Downtown. Arrow service will also not be operating. Unfortunately, due to the lack of bus operators, alternate bus transportation will NOT be available.
