NRV TimeBank Group Hike and Picnic

Date: Saturday, April 13

Rain Date: Let’s plan on sunshine! We will let you know by email if we have to change dates.

Location: Pandapas Pond, meet in the lower parking lot; we will have a timebanker there all ready to meet folks!

Time: 10 am

Plan: We will meet in the lower parking lot, which means you will enter the road for the day use area and drive PAST the first parking lot (entrance at your left) and keep going to the second parking lot. Park anywhere. Look for a TimeBanker helper - she or he will be wearing a timebank t-shirt - purple - and look glad to see you!

HIke: We will head out to hike for about 45 minutes out and then 45 minutes back.

Picnic: ALL are welcome to meet at the pond for a picnic. There are three picnic tables. Not sure which one will be open for us at Noon, but we will get one and sit down and chat and picnic together.

Accessibility: Pandapas Pond is handicap accessible. If you use a wheelchair, you will be able to join us for the picnic. The pond has walking paths around the whole pond and bridges and a dock - all wheelchair accessible.

What to bring:

  • Water bottle
  • Snacks or lunch for the picnic - leave your food in your car until picnic time, please!
  • Folding chair just in case we need extra seating.
  • Comfortable walking shoes - you do not need hiking boots for the trails we will be using
  • Light jacket - in the woods it tends to be cooler as it is a bit less light there
  • Bug spray - optional
  • Sunglasses for picnic area - optional
  • All friends are welcome!
  • Dogs on leashes are welcome, too!
  • Cats on leashes, well, you do you. ;)
