With over 40 million young adults using the platform daily in the U.S. and Canada, Facebook is leveraging AI-driven content, like Reels, to boost engagement, with Reels consumption up 20%. To further attract young users, Facebook is rolling out new “Local” and “Explore” tabs designed to help college students and other young users connect with local communities, find events, and discover content tailored to their interests. The platform is also doubling down on video content with a TikTok-like full-screen "Video" tab, tapping into young adults’ growing preference for video. Additionally, Facebook Dating is getting a push with new features aimed at enhancing user engagement.
