i2i Convening Partners to Improve High Level Child Mental Health Services
|
Improving services that address care to children with the highest level needs in the system and working to bring these services in line with a whole person care approach is the goal of a new i2i collaborative project. i2i will facilitate work with a group of LME-MCOs and PRTFs to address standardized performance measures for psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF) facility services. Psychiatric Residential Treatment is one of the most expensive and restrictive levels of care for children. It is important to demonstrate that these services are clinically effective, achieve outcomes, and are cost effective.

Children's Council Focuses on Collaboration

The Children's Council meeting on March 15th included discussion that emphasized the need to strengthen formal processes and information sharing across health and human services as it applies to children involved with local departments of social services, LME/MCOs, schools and juvenile justice. The Children's Council is formally known as the Child Well-Being Transformation Council. This Council was established by the legislature under the S.L. 2017-41, "Rylan's Law".
