As we close out the first quarter of 2024, we are looking forward to quite a busy year! Our conference calendar is full, and we can’t wait to get on the road to see everyone. We are looking forward to a robust training schedule and many innovative meetings with key stakeholders as we work together to positively impact child nutrition across the country. New Resources

Focused on nutrition and wellness in child care settings, Mealtime Memo is a monthly electronic newsletter specifically intended for child care professionals participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). It provides research-based best practices for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious, safe, and child-friendly meals in child care settings operating the CACFP.


As of February 2024, Mealtime Memo is now available in downloadable PDF format.

Shaking It Up! Small Flavors Lead to Big Changes

The Shaking It Up! sodium resources provide tangible, practical guidance for school nutrition professionals to implement sodium reduction best practices and strategies in their school food service operations.


The Shaking It Up! resource page provides a range of educational resources and training materials, including training worksheets and online courses. The worksheets and online courses provide a deep dive into a sodium reduction topic and related strategies, feature scenarios or schools' success stories to demonstrate sodium reduction best practices, and include activities to test and reinforce key concepts. The worksheets and online courses can be used for individual learning and incorporated into school staff trainings on sodium reduction topics.

Q1 Campaigns

National Nutrition Month is a nutrition education and information campaign celebrated every year in March, sponsored by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. We are honored to participate in such an integral campaign that focuses on the importance of making healthy food choices and helping people develop healthy habits.

2024 National School Breakfast Week


National School Breakfast Week was the week of March 4 through 8. It was awesome to see school nutrition programs across the country participate in the "Surfs Up with School Breakfast" theme and encourage participation in school breakfast!

2024 CACFP Week


This year, CACFP Week was March 11 through 15. Seeing CACFP programs promote eating foods that are the colors of the rainbow all week was great!
