Decorate the Cross with Flowers on Easter Sunday

Join us Easter morning as we transform a cross on our front lawn into a stunning symbol of hope and resurrection. Bring fresh flowers from home or use the ones provided to help decorate the cross.

This simple yet powerful tradition is a beautiful way to honor and celebrate the risen Christ. Come early, bring your blooms, and be part of this meaningful Easter moment!

SERVING OTHERS

NEW MISSION OPPORTUNITIES - Join us at Community Care Night on April 23 as we learn about two new and unique Missions Ministries that may be the answer to the question, what's next, how can you serve?

1) Mobilizing Knoxville whose mission is to provide reliable and safe transportation for the under-resourced of Knox County. They help by providing minor repairs under the supervision of certified mechanics, accepting vehicle donations to provide at no cost to qualified candidates, and help individuals who have the funds to purchase a vehicle but lack the knowledge of securing a reliable vehicle.

2) CarePortal - As a new way of loving our community and supporting children, we have joined the CarePortal and are playing a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families through Every Child TN, part of the Governor’s Faith-Based Initiative. CarePortal helps keep families together by meeting tangible needs and preventing the child/children from having to enter the foster system. In addition, it equips faith communities to recruit and support foster families. We will have guest speakers to share about these programs plus time for Q&A, and you can find out how you can be a part of them. Please join us for Community Care Night dinner at 5:30 and presentation at 6:30.

FREEZER NEEDED - Missions uses the freezers in the gym kitchen for storing bagels and other items for the feeding ministries. Unfortunately, one of them "died" this week and we really need a replacement. Do you have one you can donate? We need an upright one.

DRIVERS NEEDED – The Shepherd of Hope Food Pantry needs more drivers with trucks to pick up food at Second Harvest. This normally happens two times a month, usually on the first and third Friday; pickup time is 8:45 a.m. If you can help, please email missions@concordunited.org

FLEECE MATERIAL NEEDED - We have ladies in the church who make walker bags out of fleece material that are easily attached to walkers allowing people to carry items. Some of the bags will be going to CADES, The Kidney Center and Wesley House Grannies in addition to other places. If you would like to donate some of the material, you can leave it in a tub on the pantry food shelves.

OFFERING AT THE ALTER - Be sure to bring your food items for Offering at the Altar this Sunday, April 13. Items requested are: Jelly (no glass jars), Boxed Mashed Potatoes Flakes, Spaghetti Noodles, Ketchup (20-38 oz), Deodorant (male & female).

POSIES FOR THE PANTRY - Saturday, April 12 from 9am to 1pm get your plants! Farragut Presbyterian is having its yearly fundraiser selling annuals, perennials, herbs and native plants from several nurseries plus items from unique crafters. Proceeds will help support our Shepherd of Hope Food Pantry. The sale is located at Farragut Presbyterian Church, 209 Jamestowne Blvd, off Campbell Station Rd.

SHEPHERD OF HOPE FOOD PANTRY - The Pantry is open on the 1st Monday from 3:00 – 5:00 pm and the 3rd Monday from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at Faith Lutheran Church, 225 Jamestowne Blvd. Anyone needing food is welcome to drive through starting in the West driveway. Food items requested for April: Jelly (no glass jars), Boxed Mashed Potatoes Flakes, Spaghetti Noodles, Ketchup (20-38 oz), Deodorant (male & female)
