SECOND SATURDAY CONCERT SERIES - Join us for the free concerts at The Cove on Second Saturdays from 6:00-8:00 PM! On July 13, the band performing will be Leftfoot Dave and the Magic Hats. Wear your Concord United t-shirt and bring a blanket or lawn chair and come sit with us. (Sponsored by the Young Adult and 55+ Ministry.) 

MIDWEEK WORSHIP - Wednesdays at 6:30 PM, Studio - Come as you are for this special time of music, prayer and message for all ages. Nursery available for 5 yr olds and younger.

55+ SUMMER PICNIC - Friday, July 26, Noon in the gym - Join us for an afternoon of music and fried chicken with summer sides. Cost: $5 per person, register at concordumc.com/events or in the sign up book at the registration desk.

CADES SUMMER PICNIC - You are invited to join with CADES for their annual Summer Picnic on July 17 at noon in the worship center for lunch and entertainment. This year their special musical guests will be the Ohana Ukuleleans. To attend, please contact CADES at 865-675-2835.

BACKYARD MOVIE NIGHT - Friday, July 26, the movie (Cool Runnings) will begin at 8:30 PM. There will be a soft serve ice cream truck here and everyone gets a coupon for a free cone, if you want to, you can pay to upgrade to a banana split, sundae, etc... There will also be movie candy, sodas, and popcorn available for a minimal cost. Proceeds will benefit the Concord United Student Ministries Missions.

MISSION TRIP TO SAGER BROWN UMCOR DEPOT in Baldwin, LA will be February 1 – 8, 2020. Volunteers will have the opportunity to check three of Relief-supply kits: Health kits, School kits & Cleaning buckets, along with other task on the grounds and around the community of Baldwin. THIS & THAT

Concord Orchestra needs you and your instrument! We are reforming the Concord Orchestra on Monday, July 22nd at 6:30 in the Fellowship Hall. Anyone in 6th grade and older is welcome to come and play. This is a low pressure, low stress group that will work on service music and hymns to play in worship. Instruments of all types are needed – strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion. 

HARVEST CAMP, Camp Dickenson, Fries, VA, November 6 -10, or come for the weekend or just a few days. Join this church-wide fellowship event for families or individuals; participate in apple butter making, hayrides, worship and food - a mixture of work and play for all ages! Evenings enjoy fellowship, games and worship. Tent Camping and RV Sites are available. Details: concordumc.com/missiontrips/

HABITAT HOUSE NEWS - Our family this year will be moving in with most everything they need, EXCEPT for lawn equipment including lawn mower, weed eater, and basic large tools: hoe, rakes, and shovel. Also new towel sets are needed to get them settled. If you are able to help, contact Jane Currin, 966-6728, ext. 227.

GOLF TOURNAMENT & SILENT AUCTION - These events help provide a Habitat home for a deserving family in Loudon County. Silent Auction - Sunday, August 4 and 11 in the Fellowship Hall. Gift baskets, craft items or restaurant gift cards are needed for the Silent Auction. Tournament - Monday, August 12 at Willow Creek Golf Club - Registration at 7:30 am. Tournament sponsors are needed as well as players. Tournament entry fee - $120, includes a “Goodie Bag” with gift and lunch. Turn in your entry fee to, Terry Taylor (288-7697), Mike Smith (966-4109) or to Vicki Eleazer (966-6728) in the church office. Sponsored by the United Methodist Men.

GRIEF WORKSHOP - Through a grant from Holston Foundation, we are able to offer a Grief Recovery workshop free of charge, specifically for those who have experienced a loss due to a loved one's drug related death or suicide. Joy Gaertner who is a certified Grief Recovery Method trainer will lead the 8 week workshop on Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00pm beginning July 17 at Powell Church (323 W Emory Rd, Powell, TN 37849).
