SUNDAY, AUGUST 8
  • Promotion Sunday for Children and Students
  • Blessing of the Backpacks - The Children will participate in the Blessing of the Backpacks during Kids Worship at 11 AM. Students and teachers are invited to bring their backpacks, school bags or briefcases for a time of prayer and blessing during all worship services.
  • New Series Begins - RESET
  • Kids Worship - 11:00 AM - We can't wait for you to see our revamped Kids Worship! Be sure and join us as we kick off the new school year.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 15
  • Church-Wide Lunch after the 11:00 AM service. Make plans to join us and invite a neighbor or friend.

- JULY PANTRY NEEDS – Shampoo, Conditioner, Razors, Toothpaste, Deodorant, Toilet Paper - We will continue to have the silver racks outside the Worship Center under the covered drive so you can leave food donations at your convenience.

- HABITAT FOR HUMANITY HOUSE - Construction on our 22nd Habitat House begins on July 19 and will continue over the next several months. The house is being built at 1104 Freedman St. in Loudon, about half a mile south of the Courthouse over the bridge on US Route 11. If you would like to volunteer, contact Chuck Parmele at 865-414-4463.

- STUFF THE SHED - During the month of July, we will be collecting lots of "stuff" for the Elk Garden Thrift Store that we will be delivering on our mini mission trip in August. We are also helping stock items for their back to school thrift store sale and assisting with pantry supplies. A FEW NEEDED ITEMS - School Supplies, Sneakers (all sizes), New Backpacks, New Socks, New Underwear, Peanut Butter, Pasta Sauce, Canned Soups & Vegetables, Mac & Cheese, Ravioli, Cereal, 1 & 2 Gallon Ziploc Bags, Canned Cat Food, Dry cat and dog food, Cat Treats.... Items can be dropped off any Thursday in July at the shed next to the garden in the west parking lot from 6:00-7:00 PM. There will be volunteers there to accept your items. Thanks for helping us help others.



HABITAT FOR HUMANITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

All golfers are invited to play in the 24th Annual Habitat for Humanity Golf Tournament sponsored by the United Methodist Men on Monday, August 9 at Willow Creek Golf Club. This tournament raises money each year to build a Habitat Home for a local family. Registration begins at 7:30 am and the tournament entry fee is $120, includes a “Goodie Bag” with gift and lunch. Turn in your entry fee to, Terry Taylor (865-288-7697), Mike Smith (865-966-4109) or to Lori Hopper (865-966-6728) in the church office OR REGISTER ONLINE.

If you are not a golfer or won't be able to play, but want to be involved, you can support the tournament with individual or corporate contributions. For more details contact Terry Taylor, 865-288-7697.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

This summer the UMM Habitat for Humanity Auction will be online. Items will be posted with the help of our friends at Estate Sales Professionals.

The final call to donate to the auction, we are collecting gift cards, new items, event tickets, vacation stays, services from your businesses for the auction. If you have items to donation, please contact Terry Taylor by July 15.

55+ SUMMER PICNIC - Mark your calendars for the Summer Picnic in the gym. Food and entertainment provided. $5 per person, pay at the door. Please register ahead in order to have enough food for all coming. Concordunited.org/events

GOSPEL OF JOHN STUDY - Begins July 6 - Tuesdays in July at 11:30 AM. Please note - July 13 the study will meet at 1:00 PM due to Vacation Bible School. This study is facilitated by Rev. Jim Bailes. In person or Zoom. Past lessons can be found online at Youtube.com/Concordunited

SUNDAY SCHOOL (7th -12th) meets Sundays at 10AM in The Studio.

SUNDAY NIGHT STUDENTS (6th - 12th) meets Sundays from 7:00-8:30 PM in The Studio.

WEDNESDAY STUDENT LIFE GROUPS (6th-12th) meets Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 PM in The Studio.







CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL - 10:00am - Drop off in the Crossroads Classroom (Room 117) and pickup at 10:45am.

KID'S WORSHIP - K-5th graders are invited Sundays at 11 AM to join us in the gym.
