HANDBELL CONCERT
May 22 - 3PM - Sanctuary
|
The theme of this year’s spring handbell concert is “Buried Treasure.” The concert will feature music and stories that will be a delightful discovery for all listeners. There will be songs that have been “buried” deep in our music library and that have never been played by the bell choir in front of an audience. There will also be tidbits of musical knowledge and some stories that have been hidden until the concert. There will truly be something for everyone to discover and enjoy. The concert should last about 45 minutes and will be livestreamed.

SERVE THE COMMUNITY BY VOLUNTEERING AT THE THRIFT STORE Volunteers are needed in the afternoons and on Saturdays. We are also in need of persons willing to pick up and haul donations. Fill out the online application at ConcordUnited.org/thriftstore if you are interested in helping. This would be a great way for your small group, class or family to serve together.
CONNECT & WORSHIP & GROW - COMMUNITY CARE NIGHTS - A Place for All - Concord believes that our community needs a safe loving place for all to connect, share, and worship together! Join us Wednesdays for a free meal (5:45-6:30 PM), worship (6:30 PM), and Adult small groups (7 PM). Children's activities will begin again in August, children are welcome and encouraged to join their family for worship. Everyone is encouraged to invite friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, or someone you just met, to join us each Wednesday evening.
HELP PROVIDE A FOOD BUCKET FOR ZIMBABWE - Concord will once again be participating in the Holston Conference Hands-on Mission Project and provide food buckets to the Zimbabwe Ishe Anesu Project for Underprivileged Children. Our goal is to put together 50 buckets.
If you would like to help fund this project we would greatly appreciate it. You can "purchase" a bucket for $50 or half a bucket for $25.. This will pay for the food (canned chicken, sugar, flour, rice, dried beans, oats, cooking oil and Splenda), bucket, lid and shipping. You can give online at . We plan to buy the food May 24.
