CONCORD is reopening the church building for Indoor Worship beginning on Sunday, October 4 with an 8:45 AM Contemporary Service and a 10:00AM Traditional Service. Reservations are needed and masks are required if you plan to attend in person. Also many new volunteers are needed to serve on our Sunday morning hospitality team to help us all follow the necessary social distancing requirements. CONCORD KIDS CONNECT - All K-3rd graders are invited to attend one of two identical "Outdoor Group Time" sessions on September 27 from 2:30-3:30pm or 4-5pm on the front lawn for a devotional, fellowship, and activities. Space is limited, registration required. Click here.
TRUNK OR TREAT - Sunday, October 25, 4-5 PM - Drive through the trunk parade and at the end your children will receive a bag of candy. There will also be a costume photo contest at the covered entrance for families, individuals and most one for the most creative.

CANDY DONATIONS NEEDED! It will take lots of candy and treats to fill our trick-or-treaters' bags! Please place candy and non-candy donations (great for allergy friendly treat bags) in the tote marked "Trunk or Treat" on the metal shelving under the covered east entrance. Donations are need at the church by October 19 to give us time to assemble treat bags for the event. Thank you!
TRUNKS ARE NEEDED ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25! Help us provide a safe and socially distanced experience for Concord's kids and the community, by volunteering to provide a trunk or assist with the photo booth! RECOVERY WORSHIP ON THE LAWN - MONDAYS - United In Recovery will have outdoor worship on the church lawn every Monday at 6:30 followed by outdoor open share groups at 7:15. Join us this Monday to hear Pastor Wil talk about "The Problem with Pessimism."
CHRISTMAS HELP NEEDED- The large tree in the sanctuary is decorated with many different Chrismons each Advent season. A Chrismon is a Christian symbol that represents Christ, God, and the Holy Spirit. It gets its name from combining Christ with monogram. More Chrismons are needed to decorate the corridor tree between the Sanctuary and the worship center. All materials will be provided in the kits to make 1 ornament. Beginning October 13 a new study by Talbot David, "The Storm Before the Calm: Making Sense of Life's Troubles" will be offered. Zoom study will be offered on Tuesdays from 11:30-1:00 and in person study with appropriate COVID precautions will be offered on Wednesdays from 11:30- 1:00. SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES
October 4 we will begin a new series by Amy Jill Levine, "Sermon on the Mount: A Beginner's Guide to the Kingdom of Heaven." The series is presented by Pastor Glenna by video with the video being sent to interested people and Sunday morning class leaders for distribution on the Saturday preceding the study. Concord believes in the power of small groups to help us grow in our faith and we know that during this time of social distancing we need them more than ever. So we are challenging every adult in our church to be a part of a small group this fall. For those who are not already a part of an ongoing group, we're starting new small groups in October. WORSHIP & MOVIE NIGHT - October 3, 7:00 PM - All students, grades 6th-12th are invited to join us for worship and a movie. Be sure to bring your own chair or blanket, wear your mask (required) and don't forget to complete the new waiver required for all in person events.
MISSION BENEFIT ONLINE AUCTION- We are collecting good condition, quality items for our first ever Online Auction that is replacing our Fall Rummage Sale this year! We would particularly like to have small hand tools, sporting goods, clothes on hangers, gently used kitchen items, collectibles, antiques and furniture. We will be collecting items until Thursday, October 1.
