Volume 8 Issue 1
Interactive 3D Learning
Third-year College of Medicine students in their OBGYN clerkship rotation practice on the new iEXCEL pelvic model in an interactive session designed by Jami Monico and led by Dr. Amie Hollard. Participants utilized a volumetric 3D model, developed by iEXCEL and Dr. Jennifer Cera, to identify anatomy and stages of the prolapse process.
Distance Learning - Simulation Hybrid
Occupational therapy students from the College of Allied Health Professions take advantage of the camera system in the Davis Global Center home unit to connect live with learners in Kearney. This distance learning-simulation hybrid allowed faculty McKenzie Behrendt to instruct students in both locations simultaneously.
Engineering for Extraordinary Care
Senior students from the UNL College of Engineering are improving the patient environment through hospital bed redesign exercises. Led by Dr. Bethany Lowndes, their goal is to re-engineer hospital beds to prevent patient falls and accidents.
SIM-NE Statewide Snapshot
The SIM-NE team trains 40 Crete Public Schools staff members who serve on their schools' Emergency Response teams. Learners practice treating asthma attacks, anaphylaxis and more to keep students safe!
