THIS WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY: Join us for a Queer Spray Paint Workshop with Art Mimics Life!
Wed., Feb. 19th & Fri. Feb. 21st, 2020
5:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Sculpture Resource Center | 640 N Stone Ave
Free
Anaysa Stark is the founder and owner of Art Mimics Life. Art Mimics Life is a new clothing brand dedicated to helping the Eon Youth Program. Art Mimics Life was created to bring awareness to the heightened risk of homelessness and housing instability among LGBTQ+ youth while also focusing on preventing homelessness in our youth population.
The goal of this two-day workshop is to explore spray painting as a queer art medium. Guided exploration of spray paint art (e.g., stencil making, painting techniques, etc.) will take place over the two meetings. Spray paint and stencil materials will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring any additional items they wish to paint onto (e.g., t-shirts, bags, larger size paper, etc.). This workshop is an LGBTQ+-inclusive event. Allies are welcome.
More details about this workshop can be found here.
