New Georgia Smartphone App Launched for Students Needing Mental Health Assistance
The newly launched My GCAL app, which works on Apple and Android phones, caters to Georgia youth who are more comfortable sending texts than picking up the phone. Anyone in Georgia can call GCAL for free mental health assistance for themselves or on behalf of someone else at 800-715-4225 or text via the My GCAL app. For more information, please visit My GCAL
HOPE Reports Coming Soon!

Students will receive updated HOPE reports today, February 25th, during MP Period. Please make sure that you share this report with your parents after receiving them. To view your report online, please visit HOPEReports
AP Registration Deadline is March 8th. The cost of each exam is $95. All exams can be paid with cash or checks. Please make checks payable to Mary Persons High School. Online payment is not available this year. Interested students can start the registration process by clicking on this google link goo.gl/Ln9iKd . Please see Mrs Burston if you have any questions.  
Atlanta Science Festival

If you love all things science and math, the Atlanta Science Festival will provide unique opportunities to participate in labs, events and hands-on experiences. The ACT Scholarship Giveaway for Sophomores & Juniors

One lucky student will win a $40,000 Scholarship + a bonus $5,000 Tech Package!

Eligible sophomores and juniors that register for the April, June, or July, 2019 US national test date (and opt-in to the giveaway during registration) has a chance to win the scholarship. It’s just that easy! Eligible students may also enter by mail.*

Junior year is a wonderful time to visit colleges to start narrowing down your choices. A lot of the Open Houses listed below are on Saturdays but if you can't visit on the scheduled dates remember that Juniors can receive one college visit that counts as a field trip. Make sure that you get a prearranged absence form from the counselors' office prior to visiting a college.
