IPALPITI SOLOISTS IN CONCERT
From July 7-10, seven award-winning young musicians from 6 countries will perform 4 different virtuoso concerts at the Encinitas Library as part of the 19th Annual iPalpiti Festival, Eduard Schmieder, Music Director and Conductor. Each has won a major international music competition and is a rising star in classical music.

Duo Gurfinkel, from Israel--twin brothers Alex and Daniel--will perform popular miniatures from Mozart to Paganini, to Gershwin to Klezmer, in special arrangements for two clarinets. The duo was discovered by Zubin Mehta, Conductor of the Israel Philharmonic. "Daniel and Alexander Gurfinkel are two of the most talented musicians among the young generation of Israeli's today."

30 minutes before each library concert, enjoy a reception on the patio overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Seating is limited, purchase tickets early.

THE IPALPITI ORCHESTRA

"A dazzling international chamber orchestra. Eduard Schmieder's art is all about communicating emotional energy through glorious sound."

~Rick Schultz, Los Angeles Times

IPALPITI ORCHESTRA IN CONCERT
On Saturday, July 16, at 2:00pm, the community will hear the 25 member iPalpiti Orchestra, conducted by Eduard Schmieder, in a performance at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. The orchestra iPalpiti (ee-PAHL-pit-ee, Italian for "heartbeats") is unique in that it draws its members from prize-winning laureates of international competitions. The three week summer music festival begins in Encinitas, then moves to Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and culminates at Walt Disney Concert Hall on July 23.  To experience an iPalpiti Festival is to witness the future of classical music.
