Ordination season continues as the Diocese welcomes our newest priest, the Rev. Meg Goldstein. The ordination service was held Sunday, June 26 at Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Charles. See more photos from the event.

Prayers for General Convention


We invite your prayers for our 11 lay and clergy deputies from the Diocese of Missouri as they prepare for the 80th General Convention of The Episcopal Church. The Convention is in Baltimore, July 8-11. 


Betty Bowersox, a convention deputy from Grace Church in Kirkwood, offers prayers for parishes to include in their July 3 and July 11 services.

New Materials for Safe Church Training


The process of updating our Safe Church, Safe Communities program continues, with the release of registration instructions.


We ask all parishes to take time to look at the new information and learn how to use this important and required training in your parish.

Summer is a season of change in the Diocese of Missouri, with new clergy just beginning their service, some clergy shifting from one role to another, and still other clergy leaving the Diocese for new adventures.


We give thanks for all our clergy and offer prayers during this time of transition.

Apply Now for New Ventures in Community Ministries Grant


Do you have a ministry idea that needs funding? A New Ventures in Community Ministries Grant is a great way to turn your ministry dreams into reality! 


The Diocese of Missouri will be awarding grants ranging from $2,500 to $25,000 to help you do God's work in our communities. Grant applications are now available. Application deadline is July 15, 2022.

DAH Art Auction

As a take-away from their year of service, the Deaconess Anne House Corps Members have created pieces of art that reflect personal theological statements.


They will be auctioning their beautiful framed prints to provide financial support and care for the DAH program as it enters a year of discernment and renewed ministry.

Summer Schedule in the Diocesan Offices


It's going to be a busy summer for Bishop Deon Johnson and Canon Doris Westfall as they travel for General Convention in Baltimore (July 8-11) and the Lambeth Conference in London (July 26 - Aug. 8). Following those big events, the Bishop will be taking vacation time and Canon Doris will be going on sabbatical.


Please note the dates our leaders will be away:

  • Bishop Deon will be away from the office July 1 - September 6
  • Canon Doris will be away from the office July 1 - November 2.

 

The Diocesan offices will be closed Monday, July 4 for the holiday, but will otherwise maintain regular business hours, with all other Diocesan staff available.
