Join the bookworms of the First Parish Book Group on Wednesday, February 6 at 7 pm in the Fogg Parlor. Bring your favorite poem to read and share. On March 6, they will be discussing “Great Small Things” by Jodi Picoult.

The Youth Group’s annual chocolate auction is happening Sunday, February 10 during Coffee Hour. Kindly bring your chocolate treats into the Parish Hall by 9:50 am. Then bring your good will, your dollars, and your love for chocolate to the table during Coffee Hour! Elizabeth Robey, Gabe Millins and the youth will be happy to help you make your selections! As last year’s switch from "auction" to "free-will donation" was so successful, we will do that again. However, this year, the Youth Group is doing something different and all proceeds will be donated to Scituate Animal Shelter. This will be the first time the money has not gone into the Youth Group account. The youth will bring the donations to the shelter and pair the visit with a community service project. Thank you in advance for supporting the work of our youth!

A Cottage Meeting will be held on Sunday, February 10 at 11:30 am in the Fogg Parlor. The Partaker-THRIVE Committee will discuss your questions and concerns in our ongoing prison ministry.

As the Parish Clerk, Dexter Robinson can provide minutes of the recent important Special Parish Meeting for those who missed it. At the meeting we heard from many members about the proposal to hire a consulting firm to assist us with strategic planning.  The vote was nearly unanimous to go forward with the proposal. To receive the minutes, please contact Dexter via email.
