UC SHIP AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER REQUEST

The University of California is required to report the social security numbers of all students covered by the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) for tax purposes. Students should expect to receive a Form 1095-B Proof of Health Insurance. Students who do not have a social security number (SSN) may be contacted by mail from Academic Health Plans (AHP). International students in F-1 and J-1 status are not required to have a social security unless they are employed in the U.S. Students who do not have an SSN should call or email AHP to report that they do not have a SSN.

Information regarding the Form 1095-B can be found HERE .
TRITON ALERT SYSTEM AT
UC SAN DIEGO

The UC Triton Alert emergency notification system uses a phone and email notification system to keep the campus community updated in emergency situations. These communications are carried out through the use of email, SMS (text messaging) and voice messaging. Make sure to sign up for the phone and SMS alerts.
HAVE YOU MOVED OR NEED TO UPDATE YOUR EMERGENCY CONTACTS?
Regulations require international students to report any change of U.S. or permanent address within 10 days of moving to a new residence. Each term, you should review and update your emergency contact information. An emergency contact is someone local that should be contacted in the event of an emergency, who can either help you or provide information that can help you. Make sure to review and update your address and emergency contact information in your TritonLink Account.
