ONLINE OR ON CAMPUS FOR FALL 2020?
We hope that you received and reviewed the message from Chancellor Khosla that was sent on April 28, 2020 regarding fall educational programs. At this time, it is UC San Diego's intention to offer a combination of in-person and remote instruction in Fall 2020 term. However, the situation is fluid and continues to evolve. Once more information is available, the University will notify students via campus-wide email.

All decisions are being made with the health and safety of our campus community as a priority. We recognize that our continuing international students need to make plans for the upcoming fall term and that you may have many questions as the situation evolves. Please continue to stay up to date by frequently visiting UC San Diego's COVID-19 information and  the ISPO COVID-19 FAQs for International Students for the most recent updates that impact you as an international student. ISPO will continue to monitor updates from the campus as well as from the U.S. Student & Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP).

At this time, the U.S SEVP has not provided specific guidance regarding the fall 2020 term and international student SEVIS records. However, ISPO’s intention at this time is to maintain the F-1 and J-1 records for continuing international students inside or outside the U.S., who will be enrolled full-time either in in-person or remote courses, or a combination of remote/in-person coursework in the fall 2020 term. ISPO will keep you informed if any adjustments need to be made to your SEVIS record pending further guidance from the U.S. Student & Exchange Visitor Program.
