iTRACE UNIVERSITY
THE ONLINE LEARNING PROGRAM FROM TRACEY TECHNOLOGIES
Greetings!

Welcome to iTrace University. Today’s talk is a very short video discussing how to get the most from your Toric Check screen.

THINGS TO LOOK FOR IN THIS TEACHING:
  1. Note how the screen is setup with the Post Op Topography on the upper right, Target Axis (postop steep axis) in the upper middle, and all cylinder read from the internal map on the upper left. The box in the lower left has current corneal power and total internal cylinder (these should match).
  2. The iTrace is the only machine that sorts out post-op Toric issues without dilating. It is critical to have excellent tear film on the CT scan so the information will all make sense. Also, the WF scan should NOT be done on a dilated eye, or if so, then do a manual scan with a small pupil (3.5mm or so).

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHILE YOU ARE WATCHING:
  1. When is the best time to rotate an off-axis lens?
  2. How can I make sure my in-theater lens location is accurate?
  3. How much residual cylinder can I fix with rotation?

THINGS TO CONSIDER STUDYING IN YOUR PRACTICE:
  1. What is the postop cylinder power of the lens I am now reading with the iTrace Toric Check versus the labeled power (at the corneal plane).
  2. What is my postop biggest area of improvement for torics, is it lens location or is it cylinder power selected.
