Greetings!
Welcome to iTrace University. Today’s talk is a very short
video
describing how the iTrace makes wavefront easy to understand.
The key to understanding High Order Aberrations (HOAs) is a simple way to tie the HOA’s to the patient complaints.
THINGS TO LOOK FOR IN THIS TEACHING:
Look for an easy way to think about how to diagnose where patient symptoms originate. Each of the HOAs can cause a corresponding symptom. Once you hear the symptom from the patient you can then find the source, bringing you another step closer to a treatment plan.
THINGS TO CONSIDER WHILE YOU ARE WATCHING:
How many times have patients complained of poor quality vision and you didn’t know how to help them? Does this simple way to think of symptoms and their corresponding HOAs make it easier for you to think about how to fix their vision?
THINGS TO CONSIDER STUDYING IN YOUR PRACTICE:
How many of your patients that complain of glare and halo, or poor night vision have uncorrected Spherical Aberration? How much of this aberration are located on the cornea versus internally?
