free screening of
LIKE
at
7 pm
this evening in the
LHS Auditorium

LIKE
is a documentary about the
impact of social media
on our lives, and is aimed at both teens and parents. If your child is active on any kind of social media, this is a must see. The film will be followed by a
panel discussion featuring local experts
. Read below for more information.
If you’re the
parent of a ninth or tenth grader, ask them about
LIKE
-- they were treated to the film during school today. Juniors and seniors won’t have a chance to view the film in school, so I hope they can catch it this evening.

The Langley Flute Choir was selected to perform at the
Virginia Music Educators Association
annual conference this November in Hot Springs, VA. Langley’s flute choir, which is only in its second year, was chosen through competitive auditions of small ensembles from across Virginia.

Bands on the Run 5K
is holding a contest for its annual logo. The
winner gets $50 and a t-shirt
with the logo to add to their art portfolio. Ideas should relate to running or movement and music or bands, with a pop of color and clean lines.
