Speaker Profile

Rama has 24 years of experience covering Ser vice Management, Transition & Transformation Management, Delivery Assurance,  Business Analysis, Training, Technical Support, and Software Development. He is now working with Gemalto, taking care of Program delivery and Operational efficiency and managing Service Improvement Programs etc. 

Earlier to this role, Rama also successfully implemented Incident, Problem and Change management process for Gemalto. He also worked with bluechip companies like IBM, CSC M1 Ltd. Rama is currently Vice President for PMI Singapore Chapter, and was the Immediate Past President of itSMF Singapore Chapter.

Garion Kong, CISSP

Council Member - Web Services


Garion is an all-rounded IT professional with more than 14 years experience in the IT industry. He is currently the IT Executive for MS Frontier Re Modeling Research, leading the local IT team in the management of the IT infrastructure, day-to-day IT operations, service management and administration of the network, applications and systems. From his earlier roles in his career, Garion has done product development and certification, service desk support for the APAC region, business analysis and software application development. With technology becoming closely integrated with business strategies and operations heavily dependent on IT services, Garion feels strongly that IT service management is an important and necessary component in the running of any enterprise. By joining the itSMF Singapore chapter and volunteering as a council member, he hopes to help create more awareness and networking opportunities for IT and service management professionals.


Garion holds a Bachelors degree in Business Information Technology. He has a passion for continuous learning and holds various other professional certifications. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Virtualization Expert for VMware virtualization, certified ITILv3 Foundation for the ITIL v3 framework, Microsoft Certified Professional and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist for SQL Server and a level 1 certificate in Book-keeping.


He is an aspiring entrepreneur and was one of the managing partners for the first on-line books rental and delivery portal in Singapore.
