Traditional IT Service desks are not designed to support a modern  workplace. To keep up with the pace, IT must break away from the  service desk paradigm that only enables agents to react to the flood  of incidents and requests. It needs to be dynamic and user-centric.

Speaker Profile

Mal Herring joined Nexthink 4 years ago in Technical Presales. His credibility with his clients, peers and partners coupled with his knowledge of sales and his tenacity lead quickly to his promotion to Team Lead for Presales in the Northern European region.

Mal's understanding of the challenges faced today within organisations has allowed him to help others understand how Nexthink is uniquely placed to answer those challenges, not only today but tomorrow  as well.  Mal's continued success with Nexthink has now led him to Australia to assist the regional director, Greg Cullen in helping organisations in the region with the challenges that today's IT brings to the CIO.

About Nexthink
Our mission is to help IT departments transform the way they service and support business end-users. Our tag line, change your perspective, reflects this mission. When you add end-user perspective, you will see your IT infrastructure as never before and transform your IT services, operations and support.

Our company name reflects the ideas and passion of our founders to use forward thinking ( i.e. , to Nexthink) to solve real problems in a way no one else has.
From Artificial Intelligence to Nexthink
The inspiration for Nexthink came from an advanced research project in artificial intelligence at the prestigious EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) in Switzerland. One of the outside reviewers, an IT director at a famous watch company, said the research was so innovative that if it could be turned into a product they would buy it. Soon after Nexthink was formed, and two years later that famous watch company became Nexthink's first customer.

In the process two patents were filed, one for real-time visualization and the other for using artificial intelligence and self-learning to determine abnormal behaviors.

Since that time, Nexthink has experienced explosive growth doubling each successive year as IT departments in Global 5000 companies change their perspective.
