Synopsis

The IT world is in the midst of a revolution, with datacentres rapidly evolving from static entities into a dynamic ones. Highly automated Next Generation Datacentres, Hybrid Datacentres and Cloud computing are rapidly becoming the norm rather than the exception.

Understanding the risk exposure posed by such elastic environments becomes problematic since risk assessment techniques and technologies need to adapt to the technical changes brought on by these new operational models. This session will discuss:
  • Automated, hybrid and cloud models
  • The impact of DevOps and how security is being left behind
  • How to discover the dynamic assets present within these models
  • How to measure the risks posed by these assets
  • How to integrate risk management within the ITSM automation framework, with existing technologies such as CMDB.
