GRIT Deadline is Approaching!
Gaining Recovery in Transition (GRIT) Grant applications are rolling in! Do we have yours? Artists and nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in the Greater Lansing Region, now is your time! Arts Night Out is seeking artists and entertainers to participate in the Arts Council's next event on Friday, July 8, 2022, to be held in conjunction with ScrapFest 2022! This will be an especially vibrant event with the street lined with ScrapFest sculptures and more! Deadline: July 5, 2022.

The Arts Council of Greater Lansing and the Board of Water & Light announce a call for artists for a public art project. The project will be an art print to be installed on Washington Ave. in REO Town. Chosen work will be printed and installed by BWL and artist will receive a one-time licensing fee for their chosen digital submission. Deadline: July 31, 2022.

NorthStar Watermedia Society seeks entries for a national juried art exhibition at St. Paul's Monastery in St. Paul, Minnesota. Open to all artists 18 and older. All watermedia. Deadline: June 28, 2022.

The Dairy Barn Arts Center, with support from Ohio University School of Visual Communication, seeks entries for "WideOpen: Excellence in Photography." Deadline: June 30, 2022.

The Gifts of Art Program is seeking submissions for solo and group art exhibits for its September 2022 to August 2023 exhibition year. Their nine 2-D and 3-D galleries are viewed by approximately 10,000 people a day. Deadline: June 30, 2022. (Deadline extended from June 15!)

River Arts Festival invites artists to apply for the RiverArts Festival, held August 7, 2022, 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. on the lawn at the Susanna Park Bandstand in New Richmond, Ohio. Deadline: July 10, 2022.

The Northville Art House, Northville, Michigan seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, "West of Center," which is about pushing beyond what is comfortable to create the unexpected. Seeking original works of art in all two and three-dimensional media. Deadline: July 10, 2022.
The Arts Council has opportunities available for summer communications, graphic design and public relations interns. These positions will be mostly remote with some in-office hours. Did you hear the news? We are throwing a Creative Mixer, and we want you to join us! This gleeful event will take place at the Neighborhood Empowerment Center and feature Mid-Michigan Art Guild's Spring Exhibition.

Bring a friend or future member!
The mixer is open to all, so bring a friend! Current members, we invite you to bring a potential future member along with you! This is your opportunity to introduce your artist and arts organization friends to the Arts Council and to all the area creatives attending the event.
