Tell your friends AND the NCAA that Marijuana should remain banned in College Sports. Here's why...

It's inappropriate for the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) to have weaker policy on cannabis than the Olympic Committee. In fact, it's bad for the entire sports ecosystem.

This and many other serious reasons prove that marijuana should remain on the NCAA's banned-substances list for college athletes.

Athletes who play high or use regularly can get injured more easily

Cannabis hurts the mental health of young people - based on all research

Athletes who play with or against athletes who play high or use regularly can get injured more easily

Use on and off the field erodes athletic development

Name, Image & Likeness - NIL and cannabis equals DISASTER for everything that's important about sports.

Allowing weed in college sports promotes in-equity

NCAA policy should take its role in protecting the college sports ecosystem seriously

Current NCAA cannabis rules were updated in 2022 to match WADA (Olympics), more liberal change is NOT needed.

Allowing weed is anti-growth and fails to serve student athletes - stated NCAA goals

The NCAA has always valued Prevention. Why walk away from that - Leaving Teammates, Parents, Coaches and Trainers with no way to help

A majority of college athletes are under 21, making them "alcohol and drug minors." Why signal that cannabis is okay? - Why allow use when it's illegal for most and can change brain structures in users under 25

If the NCAA does not ban marijuana, the NCAA is allowing marijuana. EVERYONE should be concerned - from parents to college presidents and from every level of athlete to anyone who works in sports.

PAN - the Parent Action Network - has created a way (click here) to tell the NCAA to protect all sports and especially college athletes.
