Snow days! It’s that time of the year when we learn to be flexible and take what comes from Mother Nature … be it snow, ice or bitter cold weather! These winter days prove challenging for FCPS as it
makes decisions regarding snow day closures, early closings or delayed start times. Fairfax County is geographically large and although roads near Langley and in McLean may be clear, parts of Great Falls or the outer reaches of the county may present
unsafe driving conditions, forcing FCPS to announce delays or cancellations.
Please exercise patience with FCPS as it manages our wintry weather schedule, and be the first to know by following
@fcpsnews or checking the FCPS website
alerts. Also, follow
@langleysports to know the latest on cancelled sports practices or games.
Speaking of rescheduling, yesterday’s delayed start required us to
reschedule the
Principal’s Coffee/PTSA meeting. Please now plan to come next
Tue, Jan 22, at 9:30 am to the
Langley Lecture Hall to hear Students Services staff discuss “
best fit and balance” when helping your teens choose their courses for next year.
We are allowing plenty of time for discussion, so bring your questions next Tuesday!
