Greetings!
April showers bring May flowers...and hopefully many more vaccinated people! As life seems to be opening back up, it's been a busy spring -- evidenced by all we're sharing below. Whether you're looking for that perfect new apartment, that perfect meal on the run, or that perfect loaf of sourdough (that you don't have to bake!), read on!
Whether virtually or IRL, looking forward to seeing many of you very soon!

calise bakery sourdough round bread

Flashback to a year ago and we were in the midst of a flour and yeast shortage and home bread baking operations infiltrated our Insta feeds. Yeah, that was a weird time. Unfortunately, as quickly as we stocked up on said flour and yeast, we gave up on that sourdough starter and moved on to other pandemic hobbies, like drinking. So there's no blame in our game for leaving the bread baking to the pros: Rhode Island-based Calise Bakery.
Lucky for us and our abandoned dough dreams, Calise just introduced, you guessed it – Sourdough Italian Round Bread. Crafted with the highest quality ingredients, the freshly baked bread features the sweet tanginess of sourdough with a soft and chewy crust that delivers a distinct flavor. Grab a loaf while grocery shopping at Stop & Shop, Shaw’s, Walmart, Roche Bros and more locations throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
So don’t consider that discarded starter a failure, just consider discovering the freshly baked deliciousness that is Calise’s Sourdough Italian Round Bread a win! And, in honor of the the hobby we practiced the most over this past year, we'll definitely raise a glass to that!

Being in the fast-paced world of consumer marketing, we rely on convenience to get through our days. We like our Uber waiting for us outside, our groceries delivered to our door, and our Starbys order at the counter -- can you blame us?! But when it comes to fresh, healthy foods prepared for us to grab on the go that doesn’t require the forethought of online ordering, our options are limited.
Landwer’s Market, a grab-and-go option at Israeli/Mediterranean-style café and coffee shop Cafe Landwer, is here to change that. Homemade, ready-to-eat prepared foods and snacks (think Boston’s BEST hummus, soups, salads, sauces, juices, and sides) are sold in single and family-portioned sizes and made and stocked fresh daily. Pull up, run in, grab whatever floats your boat and you’re on your way. Landwer’s Market is available at both Boston and Brookline locations, as well as for takeout and delivery through their website, natch.
While we’ll likely never experience the luxury of having an on-call manicurist or massage therapist (a girl can dream!) we’re lucky to have two local spots we can rely on to have delicious, nutritious eats at the ready when we’re out and about getting sh*t done!
