"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning how to dance in the rain."
Anyone who has faced adversity (and we don't mean having the wrong type of non-dairy milk added to your latte!) knows how true this quote is – and few have felt it more deeply than caregivers of loved ones. Longtime marlo client and COJE Chief Culinary Officer, Tom Berry, is one who abides by this philosophy as his daughter, Hazel, grapples with visual impairment and developmental delays due to a rare genetic disorder. As Tom and his family have spent the past four years learning to dance in the rain, they stumbled upon the healing services of Challenge Unlimited at Ironstone Farm.
Since she was two, Hazel has benefitted immensely from the Farm's equine-assisted therapies. The experience has been so life altering that Tom and his COJE family are now donating their time and talent to raising critical funds for Ironstone Farm. During this month of love, we're psyched to help play a small role in helping a client we love reach a goal of $50,000 to spread even more love among those in need.
