Greetings!

They say time flies when... well, not sure how much fun we're ACTUALLY all having -- yet -- but there's an indisputable feeling of hope in the air. With vaccines being distributed, warmer weather on the horizon, and loads more relief on the way from Washington, D.C. we can't help but imagine ourselves footloose and fancy free in the very near future. Until then, we're keeping ourselves entertained with some innovative (not to mention fun as hell!) client work as well as continuing to give back to our community. Read on for more!

If you didn't catch our panel earlier this month on 'Pursuing the Pivot,' you missed hearing some of the best and the brightest in the hospitality space from across the country share their experiences, thoughts, and insights in what's coming next for the industry. Give it a watch and let us know what you think... and then start planning your summer. Book every hotel you can. Dine out frequently. Meet friends for drinks early and often. I'll end with an expression in honor of our beloved hospitality industry: It feels so close I can almost taste it... I hope you all feel the same.
SALMON at medway
When you think of senior living, the words “modern” and “innovative” may not jump to mind. Until, of course, you meet SALMON at Medway, a first-of-its-kind 55+ community offering true cottage and apartment-style independent living together with assisted living and memory care, all on one beautiful campus.

One look at their marlo-designed website, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and it’s quickly apparent that this ain’t your grandpa’s senior living community (but, hey, it soon can be!). To introduce seniors and their families to the new kid on the block, SALMON is hosting a series of virtual events beginning this month. Think cocktail lessons with mixology master Jackson Cannon, Chinese medicine with Laurel Wellness, barre-inspired workouts from Jessica Diaz, story time with the grandkids, and so much more.

Top notch amenities, lease-style monthly payments, and an exclusive Founders’ Club for the first residents to move in… talk about a major senior living #glowup. Reach out now to schedule a tour, and follow along on social for updates prior to its summer grand opening. Until then, we'll be waiting for a #SALMONShuffle dance challenge on TikTok to go viral!

banana wave
“Why did the banana go to the doctor?”
 ---“It wasn’t peeling well.”

From almond to rice, coconut to hemp… if there’s an alternative milk to be tried, we’ve been there, done that. And, unless it’s masked in a fruity smoothie or baked into bread, you’ll likely agree that many plant-based milks just don’t compare to the real thing. But before you kick your dairy-free dreams to the curb, give Banana Wave -- a line of non-dairy banana milk made from fiber-rich oat milk and whole bananas -- a go.

In addition to its smooth, rich mouthfeel and delicious taste, Banana Wave has a whole list of health benes: it’s packed with vitamins A, B12, C, D and E, is high in potassium and fiber, and is gluten-free and non-GMO. In addition to a line of fantastic flavors (Original, Chocolate, Strawberry, and Mango), Banana Wave just launched Unsweetened Original, a zero added sugar take on the signature favorite.

So quit monkeying around and pick up a carton the next time you’re at the store or order online -- you’re definitely gonna want to give it a try!

banned in boston
We’re now over a year into the pandemic, but it only took a few months of all virtual *everything* for us to have some serious Zoom fatigue. As if we didn’t already have enough screen time in our lives, now every source of human interaction we have is through our computers and phones and, TBH, there’s not enough booze in the world to get us through another Zoom happy hour. But, believe us when we say, there’s one virtual event that will have us reaching for a cocktail for all the right reasons.

Banned in Boston, Rehearsal for Life’s (RFL) annual comedy revue/fundraiser, is celebrating a quarter-century this year, and it’s fittingly taking place on April Fools’ Day! RFL is pulling out ALL the stops for its silver-anni show, written and scored by Transparent’s Faith Soloway and featuring special guest star Stephen Colbert. Per usual, expect familiar faces like AG Maura Healey, WCVB’s Shayna Seymour, U.S. Congressman Jim McGovern and, ahem -- our very own Marlo Fogelman -- to take the (virtual) stage. All proceeds from the event benefit Urban Improv, RFL’s unique program that uses theatre as a vehicle for social change.

Comedic relief for a good cause? We’ll gladly sign in to Zoom for that, martini definitely in hand!
