Greetings!

Am writing this from Chicago, where I'm attending the National Restaurant Association (the *other* NRA ;) show. Besides loving my annual visit to one of my fave cities, it's always fun to see what's trending in the restaurant world -- from fast food to fine dining and everything in between.

Speaking of trending, in this issue of marlo monthly we share news of what is arguably the trendiest spot in Boston right now, while also secure in the knowledge that while COJE spots always get crazy buzz when they open, they also never go out of style (hello, Yvonne's). Additionally, we share two Instagram channels that you're going to want to start following if you're a fan of those egg bites (pop quiz: if you know who marlo marketing's very first client was all those years ago, you know exactly which egg-cellent eats I'm talking about!), or if wedding bells are in your future.

So as we head from spring to summer, take these trending tips to heart to keep your seasonal game strong!
egs baked bites
Picture this: you skip the humongous line at your go-to coffee shop and get to enjoy #delish egg bites whenever, wherever your heart desires. Well, get egg-cited because this dream is about to become reality later this year when EGS Baked Bites -- straight from the minds of the creators of THOSE #og egg bites -- hit your local stores.

Perfect for just about every craving, these eggy rounds of goodness check all the boxes. Featuring satisfying, protein-packed breakfast flavors along with all-day mini-meal options, EGS Baked Bites' stacked lineup of products feature gourmet, high-quality, all-natural ingredients that will fuel your adventures, big and small.

Check out their recently launched Instagram channel for drool-inducing content and more cheesy egg puns and, while you're there, make sure to drop a follow so you'll be one of the first 'in the know' as to when you can snag the Three Meat, Egg White, or Traditional Macaroni & Cheese (we reco making it a trifecta!) flavors at a grocery store near you!

caveau
Well, they've done it again. Yep, the team behind Yvonne's, Mariel, Underground, RUKA, Lolita, Coquette, and Cocorico have officially launched their latest, Caveau. An elevated after-work nightlife experience set in a subterranean oasis, Caveau is a first-of-its-kind destination that entwines spectacular cocktails, craveably shareable food, and a breathtaking sensory environment that continues to evolve the nightlife scene in the City of Boston. In other words: you don't want to miss this joint.

A true delight for all five senses, once you wrap your head around its stunning decor, Caveau will literally blow you away with spectacular sound through one of the first full installations of the Void Incubus speaker systems in the U.S. The major supplier of sound equipment at nightclubs globally -- think Ibiza, Dubai, London, and Tokyo -- it's specifically designed to be "felt" rather than "heard"; a.k.a. the ultimate dance floor speaker. But before getting your dance on, you'll be immersing yourself in the unforgettable aroma and flavors of COJE Chief Culinary Officer Tom Berry's French-Polynesian inspired menu while imbibing COJE Bevvie Director Ray Tremblay's "anything but Tiki" approach + continued creativity around the large format concept they first introduced to the City of Boston at Yvonne's (Cocktails in a champagne bottle? Yes, please!).

So whether you're rocking a helluva happy hour with colleagues (see, there can be an upside to those weekly in-office days!), dancing into the wee hours of the night, or checking out the Five to Nine Thursday early dance party, once you get a taste of Caveau's otherworldly pleasures we're confident you'll agree that the COJE team has indeed -- in the words of the now-freed Britney -- *did* it again...no oops about it!

wentworth weddings
As the weather gets warmer, you know that wedding season is only getting hotter. For all the brides, maids of honor, MOBs, or #weddingszn fanatics out there, we urge you to stop your Wedding Tok spiraling and Pinterest scrolling to listen to the pros.

The Weddings & Events team from Seacoast New Hampshire's most breathtaking venue, Wentworth by the Sea Country Club, is always plugged into what's trending and they're sharing a few musts for making every wedding an occasion to remember:

  • For the brides out there, think comfort -- ditch the gown post-ceremony for a chic slip dress or matching set topped off with a pair of comfy sneakers to maximize your time on the dance floor.
  • Long gone are the days of cake being the only dessert option. From cotton candy carts and ice cream trucks to candy charcuterie boards, couples are bringing their personality -- and favorite sweets -- to their reception.
  • Bored with the same old venue exits? Then think getaway vehicle and no, that most decidedly does NOT mean tying cans to the back of your car! Drive into happily ever after in style by renting a vintage taxi, luxury classic, or sassy convertible as you speed off into your forever ever.

Need more inspo? Look no further than the eye candy visuals featured on the Wentworth Instagram channel (run by none other than the social team at yours truly, wink wink).

And here's a hot tip from us: 2024 dates are going FAST (no surprise there). So if you're thinking about a New Hampshire seaside wedding that's only a five minute drive to downtown Portsmouth, check out the website (marlo marketing designed, natch!) for the inside scoop, stat!
