Don’t call it a comeback, he’s been here for years…although the year 2020 did quite a number on our country's beloved resto scene (RIP Eastern Standard, among so many thousands of others). But in a positive twist that everyone at this point knows, restaurateur extraordinaire Garrett Harker has quietly been planning his triumphant return to the Fenway area with four new spots (including Eastern Standard 2.0!), now starting to roll out.
First up, All That Fish + Oyster opened this month at The Bower in Fenway Center (just steps from Harker’s old Kenmore Square stomping grounds where ES reigned supreme for almost 15 years). Settle in at the bar and order a craft cocktail from none other than award–winning cocktail legend Jackson Cannon while devouring a custom–built raw bar platter, or pregame the Sox (2024 is right around the corner, right?!) with shareable sea–to–table creations like the Lobster in Tiger’s Milk from the genius mind of Culinary Director Nemo Bolin (go ahead, give him a quick Google, we’ll wait…told ya). Bright, light, and oh–so inviting, you can find us all fall perched at the high–tops with a glass of sauv b watching the imaginary postseason playoff throngs pour onto Jersey Street (there's always next year, boys!).
