(PLEASE READ ENTIRE MESSAGE)

Thank you for registering for the 52nd Annual Tour of Minnesota!

On the 15th of each month leading up to the actual bike tour, I will send a message like this giving you important and relevant information about what you need to know about the event. Sometimes, these messages get flagged by spam filters. Sometimes, people have entered in the wrong email address while registering. Sometimes, people simply just don't check their email. In any case, be on the lookout. Check in with others you know that are registered to see if they are getting these monthly messages. I'll post a reminder on FB and a link on our website.

NOTE: The emails only get sent to the email address listed on the registration.

Here's what's important right now!

  • HOTELS
  • TENT SERVICE
  • CAMPERS/RVS
  • TOWEL SERVICE
  • CANCELLATION POLICY
  • SOCIAL GROUP ON FB

Tent camping is offered at our host campsite each night. You may pitch your own tent for free OR consider using our tent porter service, Joey's Happy Campers. You can also stay at a hotel or some other rental. In camp, there will be free access to bathrooms/portable toilets and hot showers for all. Remember, everyone (except my wife) transports their own luggage. I transport hers! LOL!

HOTELS: We have a block of rooms reserved at 1 hotel in each of our 3 host cities. Click HERE for the list, the prices we negotiated, and how to reserve one. Interest in our room block has been strong this year. If a room block fills, please let us know, so we can try to get more rooms made available. If we can't get more rooms added or you don't want to use the hotels in our room block, you are also welcome to choose other lodging options you find.

TENT SERVICE: If you'd like to camp with the larger group but would prefer not to have to bring/set up a tent yourself, consider our tent porter service. Back for their 7th year with us, the crew from Joey's Happy Campers will set up/take down an 8'x7' 4-person size Lynx by Alpine tent in each host city. Amenities include a shade tent, a power charging station, daily towel service, complimentary snacks/NA beverages, chairs, and access to a supply of twin-size air mattresses to use during the week.

CAMPERS/RVS: You are allowed to bring a camper/RV to sleep in. We would prefer no 5th Wheels or Class A vehicles, as we're limited on space, plus we don't want to look like the circus rolled into town. We will have areas designated in each of our campsites for parking. There is a $50 fee (payable at check in your first night) for any true RVs or campers, as we are getting charged for each as a part of our camping contract. The fee is just $20 for each 2-day sampler. There is no charge for sleeping in your car or van.

TOWEL SERVICE: Want a clean fresh towel each day in camp as you hit the showers? Sign up for our towel service. NOTE: Towel service is complimentary with the tent porter service, so no need to sign up here.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Our posted cancel by date is May 1, by which we will refund your registration fee, minus $100 (and the transaction/processing fee that goes to GetMeRegistered and not us.) This is our normal policy. We do allow transfers (to someone you find), but the new person still needs to fill out the registration form and waiver.

CONNECTING WITH OTHER RIDERS: One of our veteran riders oversees a chat group page on Facebook, called T.O.M.'s Chain Gang, where you can introduce yourself, connect with other riders, ask each other questions, etc. NOTE: This group is NOT an official part of the Tour of MN. We have our own separate FB page.

We have fewer than 20 slots left for the weeklong tour, so if you know of someone considering going, tell them to register sooner than later.

Look for another message on March 15! Until then, see our updated Rider Guide and/or our 26 TOUR INFO tab on our website.
