(PLEASE READ ENTIRE MESSAGE)

Around the 15th of each month leading up to the actual bike tour, I will send a message like this giving you important and relevant information about what you need to know about the event. Sometimes, these messages get flagged by spam filters. Sometimes, people have entered in the wrong email address while registering. Sometimes, people simply just don't check their email. In any case, be on the lookout and check in with others you know that are registered to see if they are getting these monthly messages. I'll post a reminder on FB.

NOTE: The emails only get sent to the email address listed on the registration.

Here's what's important right now!

  • OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS
  • TOWEL SERVICE
  • CANCELLATION POLICY
  • DEMOGRAPHICS
  • SOCIAL GROUP ON FB

OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS: As a reminder you have numerous options now for where to sleep each night, including

  1. pitch your own tent in our group campsite (no charge)
  2. use our tent porter service ($300 per tent, up to 2 people per tent)
  3. reserve a room at the hotel we have room blocks at in each host city (limited number remain): click here for HOTEL LIST
  4. stay at lodging of your choice, such as a different hotel, a B&B, a local rental, a friend's house, etc.
  5. sleep in your vehicle (e.g. car, van, small trailer/camper, etc.) *

*If you were considering bringing a camper, especially if it is a large one like a 5th Wheel or an RV, you should plan on making a reservation at an RV/Trailer campground, as we will have limited space and no hook ups in our community tent campground. Vans and small pull behind trailers that fit in a typical single parking space can use the parking lot near camp.

Click here for nearby RV campground options.

TOWEL SERVICE: Want a clean fresh towel each day in camp as you hit the showers? Sign up for our towel service. NOTE: Towel service is complimentary with the tent porter service, so no need to sign up here.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Our posted cancel by date is May 1, by which we will refund your registration fee, minus $100 (and the transaction/processing fee that goes to Get Me Registered and not us.) This is our normal policy. We do allow transfers (to someone you find), but the new person still needs to fill out the registration form and waiver.

THINGS TO SEE & DO: Our planning committee is busy exploring fun and interesting things to keep you entertained during the tour and hopefully give you an idea of what MN is known for. So far, we have live music nearly every night, unique museums, fun tours, and captivating guest speakers in the works!

DEMOGRAPHICS: We have over 300 people registered from 29 different states and Canada. Our youngest rider is 9 and our oldest rider is 86. The average age is 66. Over 50 people plan to ride an e-bike. 26 people asked for vegetarian meals options and 10 asked for gluten-friendly meal options...AND 214 asked for hot beverages in the morning (187 coffee, 4 decaf, and 23 tea) each morning! Good thing we made this a required question, as less than 50 people checked that off when it was an optional question last year.

CONNECTING WITH OTHER RIDERS: Thank you to Karyn Niin Kitigade for not only being one of our Coffee Crew (along with Barb Schupp) each morning of the tour, but also for taking over the chat group page on Facebook, called T.O.M.'s Chain Gang, where you can introduce yourself, ask each other questions, etc. And thank you to Dusty Pence for creating it in the first place and overseeing it for many years. NOTE: This group is NOT an official part of the Tour of MN. We have our own separate FB page.

Look for another message on April 15! Previous message on our home page.
