Welcome back everyone and welcome to our new students! We hope you all enjoyed intersession and your break from classes. We are looking forward to starting the semester off strong, and we are here for you!
Everyone is welcome to stop by the Center for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in room 205 on the second floor of Questrom. The Center acts as a third place, which means a social setting that is separate from home, and school or work. We offer a space for students to relax, meet new people, and even enjoy snacks. Take a break from the stress of classes by dropping by and saying hello! See how students enjoy their time in the center here!

The start of the semester is a great time to find new ways to get involved on campus, so for our first week back we want to highlight our MyQuestrom Organizations! These are student organizations that center around specific identities, and everyone is welcome to join. They are a wonderful way to meet new people and build community here at Questrom!
If you have an identity that you do not feel is being represented or a different club that you would like to see in our community, you can create a new organization by reaching out to the Student Leaderships & Impact Center.

The Asia Business Club is an MBA student-run organization at Boston University which provides an environment for those interested in the Asian business community to network and socialize with others of similar interests. Their definition of Asia is broad – truly any part of the Asian continent. This includes East and Southeast Asia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Israel, the Middle East, and everything in between.

Christian Business Group promotes education and awareness of Christian Business Principles within the Questrom student body.
The group will have events emphasizing Christian-based business principles, and will bring in students, faculty, alumni, and business leaders, to discuss how their faith influences their business philosophy and practices. The group will enable opportunities for professional networking both within, and outside of, the Questrom community.

Cohort Q is the LGBTQ student organization for the Boston University Questrom School of Business graduate programs. Their mission is to connect LGBTQ students and allies by providing networking and social opportunities, a forum to discuss LGBTQ issues in the workplace, and a community of support for LGBTQ students.

The Latin American MBA Association (LAMBA) seeks to foster a space for open dialogue for all individuals interested in the emerging markets of Latin America, as well as the increasingly important Hispanic marketplaces and issues regarding Latin America in the United States. LAMBA seeks to share our cultural heritage and embrace our diversity as a business advantage and enable the creation of a network of graduate students and US and Latin American business people for the purpose of sharing knowledge and building long-term relationships.

| | Questrom Graduate Students of the African Diaspora (GSAD) | | |
Questrom Graduate Students of the African Diaspora (GSAD) is an all-inclusive group open to all Questrom graduate students. The mission of the club is to bring representation to Questrom graduate students of the African Diaspora and to host events that stimulate Questrom-wide discussions related to this population in the US and around the world while having fun. GSAD helps promote recruitment efforts of students of the African Diaspora and helps bring a more diverse student population to Questrom, adding to the global and cultural education of every Questrom graduate student.
The club promotes awareness of cultural diversity, with the goal to give more voice to this underrepresented group. The club also encourages the participation of those who may not be of African descent, but have an interest in, and want to gain an understanding of, the African Diaspora.

The Questrom Muslim Business Student Association (QMBSA) seeks to create a welcoming and inclusive community for Muslim graduate students. Their mission is to provide a safe space where students can connect, share experiences, and support one another both personally and professionally.
Through social gatherings, cultural celebrations, educational and professional events, they aim to foster understanding, strengthen bonds, and promote dialogue across the broader Questrom community. The QMSA is committed to building a network that nurtures belonging, celebrates diversity, and empowers Muslim business students to thrive in all aspects of graduate life.

The Women’s MBA Association provides career guidance and support to women currently in the MBA, MSMS, and MSMF programs through: Providing access to professional women leaders in different industries, possess a wide range of interests and have built successful careers; educating members about career management, career advancement, and networking; finding mentors and leadership opportunities within and around the Questrom School of Business and Boston University; active participation within the community; establishing a solid relationship among students, alumni, faculty and women in the greater Boston area, including MBA students from neighboring schools; uniting men and women in addressing issues surrounding women’s advancement in the workplace.

Why? Lack of local connections, Visa stress, Fear of self-promotion, and Uncertainty on how to approach professionals.
Join experienced facilitator, Kwan Segal, for an engaging 60-minute session designed to help international students grow professional networks, build confidence, and navigate OPT/CPT job search challenges.

HTC Director Nick Bates will introduce the program plus there will be coffee and cookies! This event is open to everyone in the BU community and their guests.
Coffee and Conversation isn’t just a program of The Howard Thurman Center, it’s a Boston University tradition. It’s the pioneering platform that first brought consistent public dialogue to our campus.
Established over 20 years ago as the original space for open discussion, this weekly gathering has become a cornerstone of BU’s commitment to thoughtful, inclusive conversation. Students, faculty, and staff convene at the HTC to delve into the latest headlines, pressing issues, and challenging ideas.

Marketing Intern - Boston Public Health Commission
The mission of the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) is to work in partnership with communities to protect and promote the health and well-being of all Boston residents, especially those impacted by racism and systemic inequities. The BPHC sets an expectation that all staff and leadership commit, individually and as part of the BPHC team, to hold ourselves accountable to establishing a culture of anti-racism and advance racial equity and justice through each of our bureaus, programs, and offices.
The Marketing Intern will support the program’s communications and outreach efforts, helping to increase visibility, engagement, and impact across Boston communities—especially among youth audiences.
