November 19, 2020
We have had a small but faithful group joining us for the first three weeks in November as we returned to youth in-person and indoors. Throughout these weeks it has been a joy to spend time with students and hear from them the frustrations, and joys, and struggles, and silliness that comes with being an adolescent.

Our time together is not the same as it was. Without the ability to use the van to pick students up, and many families exercising caution in how they gather, our group is much smaller. The types of activities we can do are limited and we've had to get creative in how we are sharing meals and snacks together.

But even with these limitations relationships are being built and discipleship is happening. We are thankful for the opportunity to meet together.

I hope that after the thanksgiving break next week you will consider joining us in whatever form we may be meeting. While I hope we are able to continue to meet in person, even if we aren't we will continue to work to communicate the love of God in all that we do.

I am thankful for you, and the opportunity to serve your family through St. James.

2021 Summer Trip
We are thrilled to announce that a domestic pilgrimage to Northwest Arkansas is being planned for this summer 2021.

The trip will take place July 11-16 and we will be spending time in and around the naturally beautiful terrain of the Ozark and Ouachita forests. Our home base for the week will be an active catholic monastery where we hope to get to spend some time from the brothers hearing about the rules of their lifestyle and how to have a rule of life of our own.

We are excited to be partnering again with Wonder Voyage Missions, who have led students from St. James on foreign and domestic mission trips and pilgrimages many times in the past. We are excited to pioneer this trip, which places outdoor adventure and time together high on the priority list.

Iand hope you will make plans to join us on this trip. More information about registration and other details coming soon.
Advent Reading
During the season of Advent students are invited to join us in reading scripture using a pre-made plan from YouVersion. They can do this from an app on their phone that will send them a reminder each day. Join with us by clicking the link below.

Do you love Jesus and like teenagers?
These are the basic qualifications for serving in the student ministry. Though there are other things that will need to happen before you start (a background check, and some basic training) if you can say yes to these two things we would love to find a way for you to get involved.

Please respond to this email if you have any questions or would like to get involved.
