The family of Edward Bradshaw, Lynchburg, Va. who died Jan. 23. He was the father of Anita Bradshaw, who serves as the associate general minister of the Minnesota Conference of the United Church of Christ and who served on the Alliance board of directors from 2011-2014. 

Ron Burton, Signal Mountain, Tenn. who is scheduled to undergo open-heart surgery on February 21. Ron is the 80-year-old father of Allan Burton, Alliance board member, who serves as co-director of Hope Manifest and is active at congregational partner Baptist Church of the Covenant, Birmingham, Ala.

Church of the Savior, Austin Tex., as they have begun a search for a new pastor. The congregational partners’ pastor, Mary Wilson, has announced her plans to retire April 5, the Sunday the church celebrates its 35th anniversary.

Those affected by the novel coronavirus impacting China and beyond, for the victims of the virus, and for those working to contain the spread of the virus and fight the epidemic. 

The family of Minnie Macias, San Antonio, Tex. who died Feb. 7. She was the mother of Rodney Macias, who together with Sarah, tends Sister Grove Farm, Van Alstyne, Texas. 

The family of Zelma Pattillo Wise, Va., who died on Feb. 8. Prior to living in Wise, Zelma lived with her husband, Pat, in Birmingham, Ala. where she was a member of congregational partner Baptist Church of the Covenant. 

Ken Williams, Rochester, N.Y., as he recovers from spinal surgery. Ken retired from serving as pastor of congregational partner First Baptist Church, Rochester, N.Y. 


We celebrate alongside…

Lizzie Bebber, Washington, D.C., who has accepted the invitation to become the new executive director at United Ministries of Greenville, S.C., starting this spring. Lizzie and husband Eric have served at Christ House since 2008, most recently as executive director/pastor and director of the Kairos program/pastor, respectively. Eric, Lizzie, Eli, and Annette Bebber will move to Greenville early in March.

David Greenhaw, Saint Louis, Mo., as he retires after being president of Alliance theological school partner, Eden Theological Seminary, for 23 years.

Jason Smith and Myra Houser, Arkadelphia, Ark., as they travel to Colombia, S.A. to finalize the adoption process for their two children, Maryi and Santi. Jason serves as congregational engagement specialist on the Alliance staff. Myra is on the faculty of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia.

Tony Keeler and congregational partner Northside Baptist Church, Clinton, Miss., where Tony has joined the church staff as director of music. The native of Lumberton, Miss. also serves as director of choral activities at a local high school.
