Saxon Service is back
at LHS next week! A leader in Fairfax County Schools, Langley is the only high school with a service learning program embedded in our curriculum. LHS is
committed to promoting service
, believing it builds a
sense of community
and promotes
self-esteem
while making meaningful contributions to others. We have seven great opportunities for service hours this year. The first event,
”The Crayon Initiative,”
is next
Thur, Sept 20
in the
Langley Cafeteria
during
Saxon Time
. Encourage your Saxon to participate!
|
|
Parents, why not
demonstrate
your
commitment
to service by assisting with our
vision and hearing screening
at Langley on
Sept 27-28
? All sophomores and transfer students are screened annually, and we need
24 volunteers
to make this happen. No training is necessary! A 3-hour shift is a fun and easy way to support our LHS Clinic, so take this opportunity to sign up
here
.
