CROSSROADS WOMEN'S 35TH CONFERENCE
Save the Date: April 17-18 2020
GET READY FOR CROSSROADS XXXV
Date: April 17 - 18, 2020
Venue: Harvey Cedars Bible Conference Center, Long Beach Island, NJ
Dear CROSSROADS Family: Grace, mercy and peace!
It's almost time for CROSSROADS XXXV!
The women from the Regional Synod of the Mid-Atlantics have hosted this 1 ½-day retreat which offers fellowship, uplifting worship, stirring music, inspirational keynote speakers, workshops and prayer, all focused on a theme. Over the years, we have been blessed by the presence and participation of women from all 8 Regional Synods, as well as from other denominations and religious organizations. Most of you reading this email have been a part of this beautiful journey and we have been blessed together!
This year will be our 35th gathering, and with Jeremiah 29:4-14 as the foundation, we will be celebrating our position as beloved daughters of God, even as we grapple with the challenges of an uncertain future. We are in the process of finalizing speakers and workshop events, and hope to send Registration Packets by the week of February 16. In the meantime, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at (973) 844-0906 or via email at:
Sisters, if you have never attended before, please join us. And if you have, please come back (and bring another sister if you can) to continue sharing the blessings of a Crossroads Retreat.
Brothers in Christ: Thanks in advance for spreading the word to women in your network.
Yours in Christ,
CROSSROADS COMMITTEE:
EJ, Marie, Ruth, Tricia & Claudette

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY AT WARWICK
Retired RCA clergy and lay persons NOTE!
Warwick Youth Camp Cabins Painted:
Retired RCA clergy and lay persons recently painted all 16 rooms in our Warwick Center Youth Camp. Led by former NY and Mid-Atlantic Synods Volunteer Coordinator Rev. Paul Nulton, Rev. Gloria McCanna, Janie Koopmans, Joanne Fernandez, and Jack Tice painted the interior rooms of our youth camp Jan 18 to Feb. 14. In addition the rooms were washed, curtains cleaned, windows washed and repairs made. The rooms now look clean, fresh and inviting. Joanne Fernandez led the recruitment of retired RCA personnel. All had a great time staying and eating at the Warwick Center which accommodated the volunteers for free.
Paul is scheduled to return from the Philippines May 8 - 27 and August 7 - 27 for new painting projects. Doable projects for volunteers are prepared by Paul. In addition we need a good carpenter or two to help replace rotted wood from water damage, seal gutters better, and replace back on buildings original ornamental items Paul has repaired. If you are willing to volunteer your time during these time periods please inform the Warwick Center or E-Mail Paul at pfnulton@gmail.com. Warwick Center provides room and meals.

Thursday February 20th, at 11am, we will be holding a rally for Melvin Herrera's family at RCHP.
We are deeply concerned that an intact family is being broken apart by draconian policies. This particular situation is every level of bad and sad.
*2 U.S. children with autism, benefitting from having their mother's full attention as Dad was very successful at work. Now--what will happen to their childhood and their opportunity for proper learning?.
*1 daughter from Honduras, recently arrived to join her family. Now--reunification lasted just a few short months, and she will be living here, in a difficult emotional and financial situation. Separation again part of her childhood.
*Financial stability for years--no need for public benefits--now, the complete destruction of the family income.
*The "Trust Directive" that is so highly touted in NJ was broken (as far as we are concerned) in that a routine traffic stop resulted in a call to ICE.
The term "Family Values" has often been a phrase that the political party in power currently has utilized. I hope and pray that 'family values' can be seen as essential in this scenario. Keeping a family together, or breaking a family apart, is the bottom line here.
Please call and invite:
Senator Booker
Senator Menendez
Congresswoman Watson-Coleman
Senator Bob Smith
Representative Danielson
Freeholders
...and all your friends who care about the sanctity of family and the importance of raising children in safety and without fear.
Peace, Pastor Seth

The Faithwalking Circle in NY/NJ
would like to invite you into a continued journey of spiritual transformation, as we work alongside one another, striving for the wholeness of Christ to live on mission with God.
What we do in Faithwalking is not a program, where we give you a few pointers for faith and life, and you go on your way. Faithwalking is a process where individuals discover, with the support and coaching within FW, what wholeness and mission look like for you in the places you live, work, and play. And as a process, it takes time, it takes learning (as well as unlearning and relearning), and it takes an openness to seek after God's own desires for you.
Personally, I've been blessed by FW for almost 7 years now. In nearly every learning experience I have with other faith-walkers, I discover something new about myself, about them, or about God that I didn't previously know or that I didn't want to acknowledge. And these learnings have challenged me to live more fully into who God has created me to be and to see God's work of mission differently. Who I am and how I show up and minister in this world (now and in the future), wouldn't be nearly as full without the process and the people of Faithwalking. I've greatly enjoyed and been blessed by accompanying so many others on their journeys of transformation and mission!
Want to get started and join in this journey?!
A Faithwalking 101 retreat is being held at Warwick Conference Center, April 17-19, 2020.
This extended retreat offers moments to reflect, to discern, to pray, to learn, to relax, to laugh, and to listen to God and one another.
Pastors, even though this retreat spans Friday evening through Sunday afternoon (meaning being away from Sunday morning worship), we highly encourage you to attend and for consistories to allow their pastor to attend without penalty, as this transformational learning process has been shown to help support and reshape those who lead congregations.
If you've taken part in a FW101 retreat before, we'd love for you to attend again, to continue to keep your transformation alive, while serving as a small group leader. Let me know if you would like to serve in this capacity!
Please pass this invitation along to others in your classis, in your congregation, in neighboring congregations (whether Reformed or not), and amongst your friends and family! Anyone is invited!
If you have any questions, email me at gnbtown@gmail.com
Until our journey brings us together again, in the near or distant future, the peace of Christ be with you.
